I love flowers!! I have a love affair with floral photography whether I took the picture or someone else did. I love the smell, the color, and the little bit of joy they always add to a room! I’m a detail girl so one of my favorite things about shooting weddings is being to able to photograph all the beautiful florals and details that go into the big day… next to the love and connection of the bride an groom of course. So, when Jenn from Modern Day Floral asked us to photograph a few table designs we were so psyched! We LOVE working with her, and LOVE her work! The entire Modern Day Floral design team is truly incredible!! We absolutely love what Rueben & Karen created and came up with! It’s so unique, bold, stylish and super creative… they blow me away everytime I see one of their creations! Besides their beautiful designs they are all wonderful people and there’s nothing quite as awesome as working with people who are totally talented, kind, and passionate about what they do. I promise you… Jenn and the entire MDF team will exceed your expectations with their designs and creativity whatever event it may be and will transform your ideas into a reality!!

Happy Friday everyone!! Joe and I are super Excited to announce that we will be taking part in The Grand Affair -Free Bridal event at the Amway Grand Plaza and Hotel. This will be our first bridal show eva!! We are SUPER excited and consider it an honor to be participating in this amazing event and can’t wait to get the opportunity to showcase our work along side so many other amazing vendors. The event takes place on March 4th, 2012 from noon until 4pm. So, all you newly engaged couples stop on in, we would love to meet you! It’s the perfect opportunity to consult wedding experts, enjoy free giveaways, sample delicious cakes, innovative hors d’oeuvres, and tour the Beautiful Amway Grand Plaza hotels plush guest room accommodations and event settings.

Happy New Year everyone!!! I can’t believe how quickly this past year flew by!! We are truly so thankful for all the wonderful people we’ve met and moments we’ve shared throughout the year! Were super EXCITED for 2012 and can’t wait to see what the New Year brings.

Here are a few more images from a couple of holiday parties we had the pleasure of documenting. Once again Classic Fare Catering did an AMAZING job planning these two events! It’s so hard to decide what was better… the food or the details, either way they were both Fabulous! Modern Day Floral provided all the Beautiful florals and linens… they always do such an exquisite job!!

Meet Freddy & Megan! We just ADORE these two and know they have the happiest future ahead of them!!! Seriously… words just aren’t enough to tell everyone how unbelievably Awesome this couple is! They are SO wonderful, kind, classy, beautiful, and every other positive adjective out there. The entire day was a sweet celebration of their love for each other. They were married at their home church, Ada Bible in Kentwood with a reception following at Thornapple Pointe. It was a perfect Fall day!

Joe and I had so much fun with these two! They are truly gifted with wonderful family and great friends! If their future happiness is based on the love they were shown on their wedding day I’m confident these two will have a life filled with happiness and love!!!

Thank you Freddy and Meg for allowing us to be part of your special day! We love you guys to pieces!!! Best wishes for a wonderful Holiday and a Happy New Year!!

I just love photographing Fall weddings, it’s by far my favorite season! Meet Cody & Rachel! These two are just plain sweet, adorable, kind and so happy together! The love and effort these two put into their wedding was truly incredible. They were married here in Grand Rapids at St. James Lutheran Church with a reception following downtown at the University Club . It was a bit chilly and VERY windy but it was a gorgeous Fall day! Their family and friends were so great, we had an awesome time celebrating and capturing their wedding.

Congratulations Cody & Rachel; you are a wonderful couple together and we wish you lots of love and happiness together!!!

Tis the season for holiday fun!! This is my absolute favorite time of year! Last week Joe and I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful holiday party for one of the leading architectural firms in the midwest. The event was held in an industrial space in downtown Grand Rapids. This beautiful event was planned and catered by Classic Fare Catering and all the gorgeous flowers were provided by Modern Day Floral. This dynamic duo did an Amazing job, the place looked Fabulous!!! And, Oh boy.. was the food delish!!

It was an honor being part of this lovely event! Happy Holidays!!

This couple was so Fantastic to work with! Meet Matt & Audrey! These two were married in Rochester Hills, MI at St. Mary’s of the Hills Church with a reception following at the Gorgeous Royal Park Hotel. They had one of those days where the weather was absolutely perfect! It was a beautiful Fall day with lots of warmth and sunshine. We had a blast celebrating with these two! Matt & Audrey seriously have such a great joy for life and are so genuine, they are truly a fun loving couple.

For us being able to document a couples first day as husband and wife is such a special thing! Congratulations Matt & Audrey! We had a blast celebrating with you and your amazing families!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Joe and I love the holidays… it’s time for relaxing, spending time with our friends and families, and eating way too much!! We truly have sooooo much to be thankful for and our awesome clients are definitely at the top of the list.

Meet Mike & Alicia. They picked a perfect fall day for their wedding. It was beautiful! We were so excited for their wedding and are just as excited to share these images. I can’t say enough about this couple… they are super sweet, laid back, funny, and are totally smitten with each other! We shot their engagement session last summer in Chicago where they live and they were super fun! They even let us stay in their family condo for the weekend and got us hooked on Garrett’s popcorn!! We also had the pleasure of photographing Alicia’s older sisters wedding last year. Joe and I just adore them and their family!!

They were married at the Beautiful Cathedral of Saint Andrew with the reception following at Thousand Oaks. Here are a few of our favorites from their wedding.
